3 easy heather crafts to decorate your yard and patio this fall
Heather decorations bring lasting joy and color throughout the fall. Create enchanting mini trees, a simple wreath, or a striking heather tree from those lovely purple branches!
1. Twist them into mini trees

These fun, quick-to-make heather mini trees are the creation of Satu Räikkönen. One pot of calluna is enough for three mini trees. Each tree is assembled by wrapping small bundles of branches around a wooden stick, working from the bottom up so the new bundle covers the base of the previous one.
2. Tie them into a wreath

A simple yet beautiful heather wreath can delight you for ages because heather branches keep their color and shape even after they dry. Make your wreath from cuttings of a potted heather or use heather from your own yard.
3. Stand it up as a tree

This tall heather tree is guaranteed to turn heads in the neighborhood! You’ll need a round piece of oasis foam, covered with bell heather branches. Place the heather-covered sphere on top of a stick and push it into a pot filled with soil. Finish off your fall display by planting a few heather plants at the base of the tree.
