Joining the squares
Use a size 6 (US 10) crochet hook to join the squares: Place two squares on top of each other with wrong sides facing. Insert the hook through the first stitches of both squares and work a slip stitch. Continue in this way along the entire edge. The back panel has four squares, while the front is made of two panels with two squares each.

Assembling the pieces
Join the front and back: Place the front pieces and the back piece with wrong sides together. First, join the side seams as above on both sides for about 32 cm using the wild mushroom yarn, then join the shoulder seams for about 16 cm with the same yarn. Weave in the ends and lightly steam the seams. Crochet one to three tying chains, thread them through at the front edges of the vest, then tie them.
