Keep your autumn chrysanthemum radiant for longer
It’s always fun to decorate weatherproof outdoor containers with new plants as autumn progresses. Indian chrysanthemums, often sold as autumn plants, brighten up these displays, but there are a few important care tips to consider.
1. Because the Indian chrysanthemum, often sold as an autumn plant, has a large canopy compared to its roots, it requires surprisingly frequent watering on warm autumn days. Check the soil moisture even after rain, as dense foliage can divert water away from the container. If it dries out, its blooming period shortens, making the plant look ragged prematurely and reducing its cold tolerance.

2. New buds and blooms are waiting beneath the withered flowers, so remember to remove the browned blossoms so the fresh ones can emerge.
