Materials for the street broom makeover:
- Masking tape in different widths
- Paints in various colors
- Paint brushes
- Street brooms and broom handles.
Instructions for the striped street broom makeover:
- Begin by applying masking tape to the broom handle to create your desired pattern. For a candy cane pattern, wrap the tape diagonally starting from the top, spiraling it all the way down. For a grid pattern, tape across the handle crosswise. To make racing stripes, use tapes of different widths to form stripes.
- Paint the areas not covered by tape, then carefully remove the tape.
