Diamond-patterned knitted throw: your new best friend for chilly days
This knitted throw blanket warms you up wonderfully during the cold months. The gentle shades of snow and stone give it a wintery feel. The throw is worked in double seed stitch, and the diamond pattern is added afterward with crochet.

How to make the Knitted throw
Throw
Cast on 132 sts and knit 1 row on the wrong side of the work. Then work double seed stitch as instructed above. When the piece is about 150 cm long, bind off sts purlwise on the right side of the work.
Motif
Crochet chain stitches onto the throw using the Rock-colored yarn. Keep your tension loose so the chains don’t pull. Follow the diagonal lines formed by the double seed stitch (see the chart). The red dots in the chart indicate where to insert the hook for the right-leaning chain.
First, mark the chain placement at the bottom edge of the throw. Start from the right edge and place a marker at the 10th, 26th, 42nd st, and so on. In other words, place a marker every 16th st along the bottom edge after the first marker.
Begin crocheting the chain at each marked st (see chart). Always keep the yarn on the wrong side and the hook on the right side of the work. Insert the hook through your work and pull the yarn through. After each marked st, continue crocheting chains at equal intervals. Then work chains in the opposite direction the same way (black dots on the chart).

Fringe
Add a fringe to both ends of the throw. For each fringe piece, cut six strands of yarn about 35 cm long. Gather the strands and fold them in half. Pull the folded end through the edge of the throw, then pull the loose ends through the fold and tighten. Attach 17 evenly spaced fringe pieces at each end.
