How to make Knitted Christmas candies
1. Cast on 20(25)30 sts with white. Knit 4 rows of garter stitch [in Finnish].
2. Switch to red or green yarn and knit 4 rows of garter stitch.

3. Alternate between white and the other color in this way until you have 3(4)5 stripes of each color, for a total of 6(8)10 stripes. For the final red or green stripe, knit 3 rows, then bind off on the next row. Leave a long yarn tail for sewing the seam.
4. Weave in the other, shorter yarn tails on the wrong side of your work. The yarn ends can stay loose inside the candy roll. You can also leave them unwoven and just tuck them inside.

5. Sew the long edges of the candy together. Sew about two-thirds of the length, then fill the center with cotton or yarn scraps, and sew the remaining section.

6. Tie both ends of the candy firmly with yarn. Trim any excess. If you want to hang the candy on a Christmas tree, use yarn or ribbon and thread it through the center.
