How to dry orange slices: instructions
- Slice the oranges with a sharp knife into thin slices, about 3 millimeters thick. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If you’d like, you can sift a little powdered sugar on top. The sugar gives the slices an extra shiny look.
- Dry the slices in the oven at about 80 °C (175 °F) with the door slightly open for at least 3–4 hours or longer, until they are completely dry. The exact time will depend on your oven and the thickness of the slices. Use a spoon or wooden spatula to keep the door open so moisture can escape. Turn the slices occasionally.
- Let the dried oranges cool completely before using them.
