Make a charming paper star in five minutes: the easiest Christmas decoration
This super-easy star decoration is quick to assemble from simple paper bags. Hang it in a window or adorn your home with a cluster of stars!
Paper star—supplies:
- Paper bags (the ones in the photo are from Ikea and Sinelli; 9 bags for the white and red-and-white star, and 7 for the brown star)
- Glue
- Scissors
- Tape
- Sewing thread or decorative ribbon for hanging.
Paper star—instructions:
1. Make sure each paper bag faces the same direction, with the openings aligned.

2. Apply glue in a T-shape as shown in the image above. Avoid spreading glue all the way to the top so you don’t seal the bag.
3. Place the next bag on top of the first and repeat until all the bags are stacked.

4. Diagonally cut the points to form the star, following the photo as a guide. If the bags are thick, cut a few at a time.
5. Open the star to form a circle.
6. Tape the first bag to the last bag. When you want to store the star, remove the tape so it flattens and takes up almost no space, and reuse it later.
7. Punch a hole in one of the points and hang your paper star.
