Felt flower wreath—instructions:

1. Draw and cut a 4 cm circle from cardboard to use as a petal template for larger flowers. Use it to cut circles from felt. Each flower requires five felt circles.

2. Make the flower centers by folding a rectangular piece of felt into a tube and gluing it. Then cut fringes along the folded edge.
3. Glue the fringed piece around a pom-pom and trim any excess length.

4. To assemble the flower, glue a 10 cm piece of wire to the base of one petal and attach the flower center on top.

5. Glue the remaining petals below and around the center so that the wire stays in the middle between the petals. Taper the petal tips by gluing their ends.
6. For the blue-and-yellow forget-me-nots, create a scalloped template.
7. Wrap a piece of yellow felt around the tip of the wire. Add a dab of glue on both ends so the flower center stays in place.

8. Slide the scalloped flower piece onto the wire, dab glue on the base, and press it against the yellow center. Pinch the petals together with small dabs of glue.

9. For lavender-like blooms, roll fringed felt around the wire. The technique is the same as for the large flower center. Glue it at both ends.
10. Shape the wire into a ring that fits your head. Twist the flowers on where you prefer. Clip any extra wire and make sure there are no sharp ends.
