Easy Easter DIY
Don’t toss your eggshells! Turn them into adorable mini candles
These Easter-ready candles are poured right into eggshells. All you need is candle wicks and natural rapeseed wax.
Eggshell candles: supplies
- 12 cleaned eggshells
- 12 candle wicks
- 250 g rapeseed wax
Eggshell candles: instructions
- Chop the rapeseed wax into smaller pieces and melt it in a water bath over low heat.
- Dip the wick’s aluminum base in the wax and press it gently into the eggshell. Keep the wick in place with something like a clothespin, and pour the melted wax into the eggshell.
- Let the wax set for a couple of hours. Trim the wicks to about 0.5 cm.

Eggshell candles and miniature plantings make easy decorations. Arrange grape hyacinths in eggshells and give them a quick spritz of water. Bulb flowers can thrive without any extra soil.
