How to make pom pom Easter bunnies: instructions
- Start making your bunnies by creating two pom-poms in different sizes: one larger for the body, one smaller for the head. The sample bunnies’ heads are about two-thirds of the body’s diameter. Keep in mind pom-poms shrink significantly when you trim them. In the examples, the smallest bunny has a 6 cm body and a 4 cm head, while the largest has an 8 cm body and a 5.5 cm head.
- Trim each pom-pom generously with scissors, but keep its round shape. This homemade Easter bunny crafts project works best when the pom-poms are shaped neatly.
- Attach the pom-poms with either glue or stitches. If you choose sewing, leave a long yarn tail when tying the head pom-pom, then stitch the pom-poms together. Tie the knot where you plan to place the tail.
- Glue black wooden beads on for eyes.
- To add whiskers, cut four or five 4 cm strands of nylon thread. Gather them, tie a knot at their midpoint, then make another knot in the same spot. Thread these whiskers through a pink wooden bead, and glue the bead on as the nose.
- Cut the ears from craft felt, using the main color for the outside and a smaller piece of white or pink felt for the inside. Glue the inner ear on top, let it dry. Then add glue at the base of the ear and pinch it together. Let set. Finally, glue the ears onto the bunny’s head.
- Glue on a white pom-pom tail.

You can even make an entire bunny family, perfect as cute pom pom bunny gifts or decorations!
