Easy paper flowers—materials for DIY muffin-liner flowers:
- Muffin liners in a variety of colors and sizes
- Painter’s tape
- Scissors
- Wooden skewers
- A green marker

How to make easy muffin-liner paper flowers—instructions:

1. Fold two muffin liners in half to form a fan shape, then fold the fan into thirds to make pleats. Try not to flatten the folds.

2. Trim the wide, folded edge into a curve, then unfold the liner to reveal a flower-like shape. Repeat with the other liner.

3. Cut two pieces of painter’s tape, each about one centimeter wide and three centimeters long. Thread the wooden skewer through the first liner’s center so the tip extends about one centimeter into the flower. Gently scrunch the liner and secure it snugly around the skewer with one piece of tape.

4. Thread the skewer through the second liner as well, and attach it around the first liner with another piece of tape. Gently open and form the petals with your fingers.

5. Color the tape and skewer with a green marker, or use craft paint. If you plan to use the flowers as cake decorations, leave the stems uncolored.
