Free your plants from tiny pots: create easy arrangements and get “air plants” from the garden
Small potted cypresses, polka dot plants, and succulents make beautiful arrangements in all kinds of containers. Pair them with moss.
In small pots, the soil around cypress and false cypress dries out quickly and the needles turn brown. Houseplants in tiny pots, like polka dot plants, also need regular watering. Care gets easier when you move the plants into a larger container and cover the surface with moss.

Using cypresses or their sprigs and moss, you can easily create a miniature forest in a glass bowl. Misting refreshes the needles and creates a misty forest feel.

Remember that collecting moss requires the landowner’s permission, at least in Finland. Cones, twigs, and evergreen sprigs can be gathered from the ground without permission.
Succulents also make easy-care “air plants” that last indoors for weeks—even months—with an occasional light spritz. Among houseplants, aloes and zebra haworthias are worth trying; among outdoor plants, houseleeks and saxifrages.
