Finishing
Dampen the squares or steam them from the wrong side. Shape them, and allow to dry. With right sides facing, join the squares using single crochet through the back loops according to the diagrams.

Sew the sleeve seams for 2.5 squares in length, then crochet the sleeves in place. Next, using double-pointed needles, pick up 68 stitches through the back loops at the sleeve edge. Work k2, p2 rib in the round for 8 cm. Bind off loosely. Make the other sleeve the same way.
Pick up 198 stitches through the back loops at the hem using the circular needle. Work k2, p2 rib back and forth for 8 cm. Bind off.
Finally, pick up 406 stitches along the front edges of the cardigan. Work k2, p2 rib back and forth for 8 cm, then bind off.
Weave in the ends and steam the finished cardigan on the wrong side.
