This beautiful crocheted throw invites you to curl up in a cozy corner of the sofa. Thanks to the chunky yarn, it works up in no time, and the lacy stitch pattern looks stunning. Our pattern lets you choose from three different sizes for your blanket.
Size: 76 × 95 cm (104 × 145 cm) 125 × 185 cm.
Crocheted throw blanket—supplies:
- Alize Velluto yarn (100 % polyester, 100 g / 68 m): 600 (1 200) 1 800 g in light cream (62)
- 8 mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- sewing needle and thread
Gauge: 8 sts and 4 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4" × 4").
Abbreviations:
- st: stitch
- ch: chain
- dc: double crochet
- 2-dc cluster: two-double-crochet cluster: in the same st, work 2 dc, each up to the last yarn-over, then yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
Crocheted throw blanket—pattern:
Ch 61(85)103.
- Row 1: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 57(81)99 dc, turn = 59(83)101 sts.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc, *ch 1, skip next 2 sts, (2-dc cluster, ch 1, 2-dc cluster) in next st, ch 1, skip next 2 sts, 1 dc*; repeat from * to * 7(11)14 more times, ch 1, (2-dc cluster, ch 1, 2-dc cluster) in next st, ch 1, skip next 2 sts, 3 dc; turn.
- Row 3: Ch 3, 2 dc, *ch 1, 1 dc in ch-sp between clusters, ch 1, (2-dc cluster, ch 1, 2-dc cluster) in next dc*; repeat from * to * 7(11)14 more times, ch 1, 1 dc in ch-sp, ch 1, 3 dc; turn.
- Row 4: Ch 3, 2 dc, *ch 1, (2-dc cluster, ch 1, 2-dc cluster) in next dc, ch 1, 1 dc in ch-sp between clusters*; repeat from * to * 7(11)14 more times, ch 1, (2-dc cluster, ch 1, 2-dc cluster) in next dc, ch 1, 3 dc; turn.
Repeat Rows 3–4 until the piece measures approx. 90(140)180 cm. Turn and work 1 dc in each st across = 59(83)101 sts.
Finishing
Weave in the yarn tails and sew their ends to the blanket, so they won’t unravel in the wash.
