DIY birds from toilet paper rolls—decorate branches with adorable little birdies
These easy decorative birds are made from toilet paper roll cores. You’ll only need watercolors, hot glue, and black and white markers. Perch them on a branch so they can sing, or place individual birds around your Easter table setting for a charming accent.
DIY birds from toilet paper rolls—materials:
- Toilet paper roll cores
- Scissors
- Hot glue
- Watercolors and a paintbrush
- Black and white markers
DIY birds from toilet paper rolls—instructions:

1. Cut one opening of the roll into a curved shape. Use the trimmed piece to cut out a beak shape.

2. Place the bird’s beak in the center of the curved opening and glue along its edge. Hot glue will hold it well, but a strong glue stick works too.

3. Fold the opposite opening (the bird’s tail) into a triangle-like shape and glue it in place.

4. Color the bird with your favorite shades. Paint the beak. For the eye, draw a white circle and then add a smaller black circle inside.
5. Place the bird on a branch or in a display. If you want to hang it, attach a string to its back with a dab of glue.
Tip!
You can make one bird from each roll. The brighter the colors, the more exotic the bird!
