Acorn elf: instructions
- Shape a piece of modeling clay into a log. If you want to make more than one elf, you can create them in various lengths and thicknesses. The thickness is correct when the acorn cap fits on top.
 - Next, shape the elf's beard and face out of clay. Roll and cut a suitable piece, then use a toothpick to sculpt and attach details such as the beard, nose, and eyes. Attach them to the log.
 - Let the elf's body dry completely, following the instructions on the modeling clay package.
 - Paint the elf's body with acrylic paint, either white or a contrasting color.
 - Let the paint dry.
 - Use hot glue to attach the acorn cap to the elf's body.
 - Decorate the elf with fabric scraps, buttons, ribbons, or other embellishments.
 - If you want to hang your elves on the Christmas tree, attach a hanging loop to the cap with hot glue.
